Invoice and receipt in Japanese with Invoice number
For freelancers and small businesses. You fill in the items. We make the 請求書 (invoice) or 領収書 (receipt) in Japanese, with consumption tax calculated by rate as the Invoice system requires.

In Japanese. Example: 翻訳料として (for translation work).
2 · Issued by (you)
T followed by 13 digits. Leave blank if you are not registered: the document will be a regular invoice.

A paper receipt of ¥50,000 or more (before tax) needs a revenue stamp (収入印紙) stuck on and stamped. A receipt sent only as a PDF by email does not need one.
Without a 登録番号 the document counts as a regular invoice, but not as a qualified Invoice: your client cannot deduct the full tax.

Common questions
What does a qualified Invoice need to have?
Six items: the issuer's name with the 登録番号, the date of the transaction, a description (marking what has a reduced rate), the total by tax rate, the tax by rate, and the recipient's name. The PDF comes with all six.
How is the tax rounded?
Once per tax rate on each document, never item by item. We round down, which is the most common way.
I do not have a 登録番号. Can I still issue an invoice?
Yes. If you are not registered, you issue a regular invoice without the number. The difference is for your client, who cannot deduct the full tax. To register, you must start paying consumption tax.
What is a reduced rate?
Takeout food and drinks (without alcohol) and newspapers by subscription pay 8% instead of 10%. On the document these items are marked with ※.
