納税証明書 meaning: tax payment certificate

What it is

A certificate that proves your tax was paid and you have no overdue amounts.

When you see it

It is asked for at visa renewal and when applying for permanent residence.

What to do

Residence tax: get it at city hall. Income tax: at the 税務署.
